A few weeks ago, inspired by a colleague who'd won a prize, I decided I would actually make the effort to enter competitions when I came across them. So for the past month or so I've done just that. Lo and behold, last week I returned home from work to find a GPS navigator for the car waiting for me. And yesterday I won a laptop. Yes, a laptop.
Note to self: buy Lotto ticket!

*pouts* I wanted that laptop.
Two competition wins is most impressive. I enter quite a few but have yet to bring home the goods. On the other hand I'm a fairly regular winner of Tattslotto, on a small scale
I'm surprised you didn't win one, Stomper! It was a runner-up prize in that Coles Lucky 8 promotion - it was advertised on TV in these parts and possibly yours too (national I assume) ... there were 224 runners-up. That's a whole lotta laptop...
Wow. Half your luck! Well done... I've only ever won free cds and a front row ticket to see Billy Corgan in concert back in '05. I shouldn't complain should I then? But a laptop? Wow.
Wow! That's a whole lotta luck. And you won really useful things too. I watched an interview recently with a 'professional' competition enterer and she had won 400 competitions in the past 18 months!
Jesus !
that's terrific !!
I always enter comps, and go in with a winning attitude. Thus, when I don't win ( like the new Hyundai at my local IGA last week ), i'm actually a bit shocked.
:p
I've heard about professional competition enterers (excellent English, I know). Perhaps that is a new career direction for you?
I haven't won anything since I lied in a letter to the kids' section of Perth's now defunct Sunday Independent. Later as atonement for my sins I worked for the former editor-in-chief of said paper. Not a pleasant man.
